Dal 7 al 9 Agosto l’Ypsigrock festival, alla sua tredicesima edizione, darà vita ad una line up quanto più rappresentativa della scena musicale rock/indie esistente.
Anche quest’anno l’associazione culturale Glenn gould ha creato un festival in puro stile british in Sicilia.
La tredicesima edizione dell’Ypsigrock Festival sarà all’insegna di grandi nomi della scena rock internazionale;
Il palco del festival sarà calpestato, in lungo e il largo, da band del calibro dei Kula Shaker (unica data italiana, presenteranno in anteprima alcuni brani del loro nuovo album che uscirà in autunno), Jon Hopkins, Sparkle in grey e i the Rakes.
Oltre a questi rinomati gruppi ricordiamo che si esibiranno anche i vincitori di “Avanti il Prossimo“, contest musicale organizzato dallo stesso Ypsygrock. (da Blog Sicilia)

What Ypsigrock is
Ypsigrock Festival is the biggest outdoor musical festival in Sicily.
It's turned to be the benchmark for addicted indie-rock culture lovers. Ypsigrock differs, 'cause it mixes up several charming aspects of a music festival with an irresistible scenario.
It simply steps back in time. The big stage below the wonderful castle and the medieval village is crowded by thousands of listeners. Many people from all Europe. A huge mix of interacting cultures in the heart of the most unknown Sicily.
Getting to Castelbuono commonly means discovering an unexpected and an marvelous Sicily: a journey through artistic, natural and cultural beauty. The focus point of such a beauty is the Piazza Castello (Place of the Castle), whereas the most important international artists trig the snow within a fascinating arena far-fetched overstuffed. The main stage of Ypsigrock Festival is therefore the precious Piazza Castello, held by the old medieval arch, the large staircases and, of course, the castle. A rich area for history and dazing beauty.
The camping equipped area is inside the Madonie's Natural Park: in the middle of the green forests that wrapped Castelbuono. It's a fantastic place where it's possible to breathe the real festival spirit combined with friendship and with pure relax. The magic of the camping is the result of great performances, shows and experimental sessions by every kind of artist. Appeal of expression freedom among the new rising and traditional cultural trends.
Ypsigrock Festival is the best place for a great August weekend; completely lost among the marvelous sands of Cefalù and the incredible Madonie's peaks. It's hard to find something better place for people with a serious artistic, cultural and music attitude!
